Job summary

ShorePoint, LLC is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to design, deploy and manage secure Azure environments for federal cloud initiatives, with a strong emphasis on compliance (FedRAMP/NIST). The role requires 10+ years of Azure experience and clearable citizenship for government contracts, based in Washington DC onsite.

You will lead IaC efforts, collaborate with security teams and mentor junior engineers while staying current with cloud updates and governance mandates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, CS, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience across Azure Cloud architecture and implementation.
• Familiarity with FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, DISA STIGs or RMF.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.
• One or more Microsoft Azure certifications.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain secure and scalable Azure environments.
• Configure and manage Azure services including VNet, VMs, storage, Azure AD.
• Implement IaC using ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform or Azure CLI.
• Collaborate with security teams to enforce zero trust and compliance.
• Configure monitoring with Azure Monitor and Microsoft Defender.
• Provide Tier 3 support and mentoring to junior engineers.
• Stay current with Azure updates and government cloud mandates.
