Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer – Kubernetes & Terraform to build secure, scalable, automated cloud deployments. You will collaborate with development, QA, architecture, and operations to improve delivery and platform reliability.

You will drive CI/CD pipelines, manage Kubernetes, apply GitOps with Argo CD, and script with Python and PowerShell while provisioning infrastructure with Terraform.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong Terraform and IaC experience.
• Kubernetes-based container environments management.
• Automation and scripting in PowerShell and Python.
• GitHub-based source control, branching, and deployment workflows.
• GitOps practices with Argo CD.
• Troubleshooting cloud infrastructure and deployments.
• Knowledge of DevOps security controls and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines that support fast, reliable, and automated deployments.
• Manage and support Kubernetes environments for availability, scalability, and performance.
• Implement GitOps deployment practices using Argo CD for secure releases.
• Build automation scripts using Python and PowerShell.
• Provision and manage cloud infrastructure with Terraform and IaC.
• Monitor health and resolve performance, deployment, and reliability issues.
• Troubleshoot production and infrastructure issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Apply security, compliance, and governance standards; maintain runbooks.
