Job summary

Cognizant seeks a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to design and optimize secure, scalable cloud deployment platforms. You will collaborate with development, QA, architecture, and operations to improve software delivery and platform reliability.

Responsibilities include building CI/CD pipelines, managing Kubernetes environments, implementing GitOps with Argo CD, and automating with Python/PowerShell. Terraform-based infra and governance are key, with remote work options offered in the US.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Experience managing Kubernetes-based container environments.
• Proficiency in automation and scripting using PowerShell and Python.
• Experience with GitHub-based source control, branching, and deployment workflows.
• Hands-on experience implementing GitOps practices using Argo CD.
• Experience troubleshooting cloud infrastructure, application deployments, and production issues.
• Knowledge of DevOps security controls, compliance requirements, and operational governance.

About the role

As a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer – Kubernetes & Terraform, you will make an impact by building and optimizing secure, scalable, and automated cloud deployment platforms. You will be a valued member of the technology team and work collaboratively with development, quality engineering, architecture, and operations teams to improve software delivery and platform reliability.

In this role, you will:

• Develop, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines that support fast, reliable, and automated application deployments.
• Manage and support Kubernetes environments, ensuring the availability, scalability, and performance of containerized applications.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $81,337 to $140,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
