Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer – Kubernetes & Terraform. You will build secure, scalable cloud deployment platforms and collaborate with development, QA, architecture, and operations teams to improve delivery and reliability.

This remote role is open to qualified applicants in the United States. The position emphasizes GitOps with Argo CD, Terraform-based infrastructure, and automation scripting.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Experience managing Kubernetes-based container environments.
• Proficiency in automation and scripting using PowerShell and Python.
• Experience with GitHub-based source control, branching, and deployment workflows.
• Hands-on experience implementing GitOps practices using Argo CD.
• Experience troubleshooting cloud infrastructure, application deployments, and production issues.
• Knowledge of DevOps security controls, compliance requirements, and operational governance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
• Manage and support Kubernetes environments for scalability and performance.
• Implement GitOps deployment practices using Argo CD.
• Build automation scripts using Python and PowerShell.
• Provision and manage cloud infrastructure with Terraform.
• Monitor health and resolve performance, deployment, and reliability issues.
• Troubleshoot production and infrastructure issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Apply security and governance standards across DevOps platforms and maintain runbooks.
