Job summary

The American Cancer Society, Inc. is seeking a Senior Auditor to deliver high-quality assurance and advisory services across the organization. You will plan, schedule, and lead diverse audits, and identify opportunities for process improvements in collaboration with finance and operations leaders.

This is a fully remote role within the United States, requiring 4+ years in internal and external auditing. Travel up to 10% is possible as part of audit engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Accounting or MBA.
• Professional certification in internal auditing (CIA) or CPA preferred.
• At least four years of experience in internal and/or external auditing.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute internal audits across business areas, assess controls, develop audit programs, perform tests, and document work per Internal Audit standards.
• Identify control weaknesses, lead management meetings, and deliver actionable audit reports to senior leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance audit effectiveness.
• Conduct follow-up reviews to verify corrective actions and assess effectiveness.
• Execute special projects aligned with organizational priorities.
