Job summary

The American Chemical Society is seeking a Senior Auditor to deliver high-quality assurance and advisory services across the organization. This fully remote role can be home-based anywhere in the United States, with travel as needed.

Candidates should have 3-5 years of internal and/or external auditing experience and strong COSO/GAAP knowledge. Responsibilities include planning, executing, and reporting on audits, driving process improvements, and collaborating with finance and operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's degree in Accounting or MBA preferred.
• CIA or CPA certification preferred.
• 4+ years of internal and/or external auditing experience.
• Experience advising on business processes, GAAP risks and compliance.
• Knowledge of COSO Internal Control Framework.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and lead diverse internal and external audits.
• Identify process improvements and provide actionable recommendations.
• Prepare high-quality audit reports for senior leadership.
• Conduct follow-up reviews on corrective actions.
• Execute special projects aligned with organizational priorities.
• Collaborate with finance and operations leaders.
