Smart Solutions CPA seeks an experienced senior auditor for a unique, client-focused role. You will guide clients through the audit, translate complex requests into plain language, and maintain independence and professional skepticism.

This is a part-time, remote position with flexible hours. You will lead meetings, coordinate PBC items, and build strong client relationships while delivering high-quality audits.

Qualifications

• Several years of audit or assurance experience.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and audit procedures.
• Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
• High emotional intelligence and empathy in client interactions.

Responsibilities

• Perform and review audit procedures on assurance engagements.
• Attend client meetings and remain involved throughout the audit.
• Manage and coordinate PBC requests and outstanding items.
• Explain audit requests to clients in clear, practical language.
• Help clients identify appropriate records and supporting documentation.
• Follow up consistently while maintaining a positive client relationship.
• Coordinate between the client and the audit engagement team.
• Identify potential delays or misunderstandings before they become problems.
• Create a supportive, organized, and professional audit experience.
• Maintain auditor independence and ensure compliance with standards.
