Job summary

Novastone Capital Advisors is seeking an Investment Team Senior Associate to join the North American team and lead deal evaluation and execution for SMEs identified by searchers, with a focus on North America. The role supports the entire deal process, including financial modeling and coordination with senior team members.

You will engage in due diligence, develop legal documentation, and present findings to investors, while maintaining governance and value-creation initiatives across portfolio

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of relevant work experience in investment banking, Big 4 M&A advisory, or an investment fund.
• Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record in a directly relevant field.
• Strong sense of personal responsibility and ability to own tasks amid ambiguity.
• Solid understanding of accounting, finance, and M&A transactions.
• Excellent spoken and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Based in North America and comfortable working in a 100% remote, international environment.

Responsibilities

• Advise searchers on evaluating, structuring, and executing M&A transactions.
• Develop and own financial models for potential deals.
• Communicate progress to senior Investment Team members and meet deadlines.
• Collaborate in the review and development of legal documentation for potential transactions.
• Oversee deal memoranda prepared by searchers prior to investor presentations.
• Oversee searcher-led commercial due diligence and third-party due diligence work streams.
• Present analyses to investors and support governance/value creation initiatives.
• Assist in developing best practices for the NCA Investments Team and searchers.
• Represent NCA to investors, sellers, and advisors during the deal process.
• Monitor and maintain reports for North American portfolio companies.
• Support value-creation activities for North American portfolio companies.
• Sit on the board of select portfolio companies as an NCA representative.
