Job summary

Novastone Capital Advisors (NCA) is seeking an Investment Team Senior Associate to join the North American team and drive deal evaluation and execution for SMEs seeking succession. You will support searchers actively pursuing acquisitions, building financial models, and coordinating with investors and advisors.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of relevant experience in investment banking, Big 4 M&A advisory, or an investment fund.
• Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record in a directly relevant field.
• Strong sense of personal responsibility, ability to take ownership and deal with ambiguity.
• Well-developed understanding of accounting, finance, and M&A transactions.
• Strong spoken and written communication skills and interpersonal skills for investors, searchers, and potential sellers.
• Based in North America and comfortable working in a 100% remote and international environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, structure, and execute M&A transactions with searchers.
• Develop and own financial models for potential deals.
• Communicate project progress to senior team members and investors.
• Collaborate on review and development of legal documentation for potential transactions.
• Oversee deal memoranda and due diligence work streams.
• Present analyses to investors and internal stakeholders.
• Support governance and value-creation initiatives for portfolio companies.
• Sit on boards of select portfolio companies as an NCA representative.
