Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Distinguished Software Engineer to lead enterprise technology strategy in the Finance & Insurance space. This hands-on leadership role blends deep architectural thinking with practical design reviews and code analysis to shape real-time analytics and scalable systems.

Located remotely in the US, you will partner with senior leaders to set technical standards, guide multi-year initiatives, and raise the engineering bar while navigating regulatory constraints and audit

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in CS or related field.
10+ years of software engineering experience.
Proven track record delivering multi-year technical strategies at enterprise scale.
Expertise in distributed systems architecture and cloud migration or ML.
Hands-on experience with agentic or LLM-based systems in production.
Strong written communication for architectural documentation.
Experience in regulated industries with audit/compliance constraints.

Responsibilities

Define and drive the enterprise target architecture across multiple domains.
Own the architecture for AI agents, ensuring a unified foundation across the enterprise.
Lead the migration strategy from on-premises to cloud infrastructure.
Establish a modern data platform architecture for real-time analytics.
Architect for real-time decision-making and experimentation capabilities.
Oversee the architecture for a unified inventory and consumer search platform.
Engage directly in technical work, including design reviews and code analysis.
