Job summary
Ladders is seeking a Systems Engineer Senior Principal - Infrastructure and Data Platforms for a Remote role in the US. The position shapes infrastructure and data platform strategy across a complex retail environment and leads alignment across teams.
You will drive build-versus-buy decisions, develop proofs of concept, and promote portfolio adoption while mentoring teams and removing roadblocks. Remote US-based candidates only, with strong leadership capabilities.
Qualifications
- 7-9 years of relevant work experience in systems engineering or a related field.
- Experience with Kubernetes, RedHat OpenShift, and Pivotal Cloud Foundry.
- Experience with SQL Server and Oracle.
- Strong programming skills or expertise in multiple infrastructure domains.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in technology strategy development.
- Ability to quickly understand complex systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead portfolio-level principal meetings for alignment and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with leaders on technology build-versus-buy decisions.
- Develop proofs of concept for new technologies and drive portfolio adoption.
- Mentor and coach teams, providing performance feedback and development plans.
- Identify and remove roadblocks in cross-functional projects.
- Serve as a point of escalation for high-priority issues and outages.
- Work with vendors to implement feature enhancements in software products.
