Job summary

Arctiq, a global technology services firm, seeks a Senior API Developer with PHP, Python and Oracle DB expertise to design, build and maintain scalable enterprise APIs. You will work on backend services, integrate with internal systems and third-party platforms, and contribute to API lifecycle management.

Your focus includes secure authentication, performance tuning, and collaboration with architects and QA to deliver reliable production APIs in a remote, CST-hour aligned contract environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Hands-on API/backend development using PHP and Python.
• Experience with Oracle databases (SQL/PL/SQL).
• Designing RESTful APIs and web services.
• API security experience (OAuth, JWT, SSL/TLS).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using PHP and Python.
• Build scalable integration solutions between enterprise applications, databases, and third-party platforms.
• Develop and optimize Oracle database objects (tables, views, procedures, packages, functions).
• Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, and teams to gather requirements and design solutions.
• Create and maintain API documentation and integration guides.
• Implement security best practices including authentication, authorization, encryption.
• Monitor API performance and troubleshoot production issues.
• Participate in code reviews and CI/CD processes.
• Support QA teams to ensure quality and releases.
