Job summary

Arctiq is seeking an experienced Application Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise web apps and backend services using Java and PHP. You will build scalable RESTful APIs, integrate with enterprise systems, and contribute across backend, API, database, and front-end areas within an Agile team.

The role requires a full-stack mindset, collaboration with analysts and stakeholders, and a focus on security, performance, and best practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience developing applications with Java.
• Strong experience developing web applications using PHP.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and web services.
• Experience with object-oriented programming principles and software design patterns.
• Strong understanding of relational database design and SQL.
• Experience with Git source control.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications using Java and PHP.
• Develop scalable web applications and RESTful APIs.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Enhance existing applications by adding new functionality and improving performance.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues.
• Participate in code reviews and promote development best practices.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures.
• Build integrations with third-party applications and enterprise systems.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for applications and APIs.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Ensure applications follow security, scalability, and performance best practices.
