Aston Carter is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist with proven construction-related AP experience and extensive lien waiver knowledge. The role focuses on complex invoice processing, subcontractor payments, and lien waiver administration in a fast-paced project-driven environment.

You will maintain strong vendor relationships, support process improvements and automation, and collaborate with Project Managers, Purchasing, and Accounting to keep financial records accurate.

Qualifikationen

• 4+ years of Senior or lead-level accounts payable experience.
• 2+ years of construction-specific accounts payable experience.
• 2+ years of intermediate-level Excel experience.
• Experience with construction-focused systems such as Vista or Wensoft preferred.

Aufgaben

• Process vendor invoices and payments with high accuracy, verifying PO, vendor data, taxes, discounts, and coding.
• Review subcontractor invoices against POs and contracts, validating costs, retainage and payment terms.
• Manage lien waiver and lien release processes, collecting required documentation for payments.
• Serve as primary contact for lien waiver administration and resolve documentation issues to ensure timely payments.
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate outstanding balances, missing invoices, and discrepancies.
• Research and resolve complex payment delays by tracing invoices, approvals, and supporting docs.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Purchasing, and Accounting to resolve discrepancies and maintain records.
• Use document management/workflow systems to route invoices for review and approval.
