Job summary

PatientPoint is seeking a Sr. Engineering Manager for Android & Device Platforms. Remote – United States. You will oversee software engineering for device-side products, including exam-room tech, waiting-room displays, and back-office systems on Android and BrightSign devices.

You will manage senior leads and ICs, own hiring and career growth, and contribute to architectural direction while staying hands-on as needed. Travel 2-4 times/year. Base salary range is disclosed in the posting.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering with leadership experience.
• Hands-on in Android/Kotlin development with modern practices.
• Experience with AOSP, customized ROMs, kiosk devices, APK distribution.
• Experience building software for connected devices and fleets.
• Proven ability to lead engineers across multiple streams and coach growth.
• Experience with backend services supporting device fleets (Kotlin/JVM, Node.js).
• Hands-on use of AI-assisted development tools and encouraging adoption.

Responsibilities

• Oversee device product engineering across Android and BrightSign platforms.
• Manage a blended team of full-time and contract engineers, onshore and offshore.
• Lead hiring, performance reviews, and career growth for reports.
• Drive technical direction, code reviews, and architectural decisions.
• Coordinate priorities across multiple product areas with different stacks.
• Collaborate with Product and Design on execution roadmaps.
• Support remote deployed device fleets and ensure update/rollback strategies.
• Foster AI‑driven capabilities and modern development practices.
