Optum is seeking a Sr. Service Designer, AI & Product Office, to shape how AI-enabled products transform care. You will map current workflows, design future-state services, and align operations with product goals, partnering across product, design, and care teams.

This role sits at enterprise scale with hands-on field work, measuring impact and guiding adoption. You will spend time with care teams, shadowing real workflows, and helping teams embrace AI safely while driving measurable outcomes

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in operations, process improvement, or service design with healthcare exposure.
• 2+ years in Care Delivery or Hospital settings designing AI-enabled services.
• Experience in large, matrixed organizations.
• Experience using AI tools and building with them (agents, automation, or LLMs).
• Strong writing skills; decisions and findings documented.
• Ability to build relationships across care teams and leaders.

Responsabilités

• Map and shadow how care is delivered today across multiple care settings.
• Design service blueprints, roles, workflows, and policies for new AI-enabled services.
• Define operational measures and hand off the service to deployment with clear value.
• Write down observations for reuse by other markets.
