Job summary

Jasper is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to be the first true generalist on the Security Engineering team. You’ll secure and build AI agents and platforms, automate GRC controls, and harden cloud infrastructure, partnering with Engineering, GRC, Product, and IT to protect Jasper’s systems.

You’ll set technical direction on AI security while staying hands-on across infrastructure, product security, and compliance engineering, a true jack‑of‑all‑trades role with outsized impact.

Qualifications

• AI fluency in core AI concepts applied to security engineering.
• 8+ years in security engineering with hands-on AI/ML or cloud security.
• Experience securing AI systems and familiarity with AI threats.
• Strong security principles, judgment, and ambiguity tolerance.
• Proactive mindset to automate security gaps and inefficiencies.
• Expertise with frontier models and agent frameworks.
• Ability to build security programs from scratch.
• Strong knowledge of GCP and AWS security services and IAM models.
• Experience with GitHub security controls and secure software supply chain.
• Hands-on with Wiz or similar CSPM/CNAPP; automation experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and controls for AI infrastructure security.
• Own threat modeling for AI-specific risks and validate/log/audit AI outputs.
• Build security tooling and automated checks to enable AI adoption safely.
• Collaborate and influence the security program direction at Jasper.
• Automate evidence collection, control monitoring, and compliance workflows (Vanta/Drata).
• Strengthen cloud security across GCP and AWS: IAM, network segmentation, secrets.
• Own and improve GitHub security controls and CI/CD security.
• Operate Wiz/CSPM tooling to remediate misconfigurations and vulnerabilities.
• Use AI tools in workflows and translate security/compliance needs into practical solutions.
