Job summary

Capital One is building an AI-native platform to empower our business teams with AI-assisted analytics and production-grade AI systems. The team collaborates across engineering, research, and product disciplines to deliver scalable AI-powered products for associates and customers.

You will help shape architecture, deploy large-scale AI components, and advance model optimization while upholding responsible AI practices and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in a relevant field plus years of AI/ML experience
• Experience programming at scale with Python/Go/Scala/CUDA/Java
• Experience designing AI systems with cost, latency, throughput tradeoffs
• Experience deploying AI solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Experience leading engineering teams and influencing stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components
• Leverage OSS and SaaS AI technologies in production
• Invent state-of-the-art model optimization techniques for performance
• Contribute to long-term AI architecture and standards
• Own model routing, caching, and orchestration for multi-model workloads
• Champion responsible AI principles across systems
• Drive education and mentorship through architecture councils and AI guilds
