Datadog seeks a Senior Sales Engineer for AI Accounts in the United States. You will own the technical relationship with leading AI labs, working closely with customer engineering teams to scale models and deploy observability at real scale.

The role emphasizes hands-on AI/ML infrastructure, cloud expertise, and the ability to operate in flat, fast-moving teams. You’ll collaborate with account executives to identify new workloads, run production POVs, and deliver measurable value while shaping

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or equivalent
• Hands-on depth in AI/ML infrastructure stacks (training, inference, observability)
• Experience with flat organizations and ability to influence ICs and founders
• Willing to travel for multi-day onsite engagements and conferences

Responsabilités

• Own the technical relationship across AI labs and production workloads
• Drive expansion with AEs by identifying new workloads and teams
• Lead discovery in engineering-led organizations without formal scoping calls
• Deliver POVs in production environments and prove value against success criteria
• Act as an extension of the customer’s engineering/observability team
• Communicate via Slack and asynchronous updates with high responsiveness
• Provide early input from product/engineering and close the feedback loop
• Create reusable assets and patterns to accelerate onboarding for future labs
