Job summary

Club Capital LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to lead our onboarding team, guiding new clients from post-signature to clean, current books handed off. You'll manage onboarding accountants across for-profit and nonprofit clients in insurance agencies and youth sports clubs, ensuring timely, accurate catch-up work and smooth client transitions.

This is a remote, high-impact role requiring strong leadership and communication.

Qualifications

5+ years of accounting experience at senior level or above.
Experience with catch-up/cleanup work and untangling incomplete books.
Experience with both for-profit and nonprofit accounting.
Ability to manage a high volume of work at different stages simultaneously.
Experience leading, training, or reviewing other accountants.
Strong client communication skills, able to explain books clearly.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of onboarding accountants; assign work and review output.
Serve as the first delivery lead for new clients after sale closes; set expectations.
Own retroactive accounting work: catch-up bookkeeping, cleanup, reconciliations.
Set up new client accounts and connect them to tools and processes.
Manage onboarding changes; explain shifts from old providers to Club Capital.
Run a smooth handoff to ongoing CAS accountant with complete books and documentation.
Coordinate with tax team for clients also needing tax work; ensure introductions to tax team.
Track onboarding pipelines, spot bottlenecks, and keep timelines.
Improve onboarding processes with checklists and streamlined workflows.
