Job summary

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Senior Accounting Consultant (AI Trainer) for an innovative organization developing and training artificial intelligence technologies. This is a fully remote, 12-week project offering approximately 30 hours per week with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Current or recent hands-on professional experience in Accounting or a closely related field.
• Strong practical knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and accounting processes.
• Ability to clearly explain accounting concepts, identify errors, and articulate appropriate treatments.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated accounting work for technical accuracy, consistency, and appropriate application of accounting principles.
• Identify technical accounting and financial reporting errors and explain why an accounting treatment is correct or incorrect.
• Determine and communicate the appropriate accounting treatment for various scenarios.
• Develop realistic accounting tasks and scenarios based on practical, day-to-day professional experience.
• Apply knowledge across areas such as financial statements, month-end close, reconciliations, GAAP/IFRS, audit, tax, controls, technical accounting, and financial reporting.
• Follow detailed project instructions while providing precise, well-reasoned written feedback.
