Job summary

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an Accounting Expert–AI Training Project for an innovative organization developing and training artificial intelligence technologies. This is a fully remote, 12-week assignment offering approximately 30 hours per week with flexible scheduling, and excludes candidates located in California.

The Accounting Expert will apply real-world accounting expertise to evaluate AI-generated work, identify errors, and explain the correct treatments

Qualifications

• Hands-on accounting experience in accounting or related field.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Ability to explain concepts, identify errors, and justify treatments.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated accounting work for accuracy and proper application of principles.
• Identify errors and explain correct or incorrect treatments.
• Determine and communicate appropriate accounting treatments for scenarios.
• Develop realistic accounting tasks for AI training based on professional experience.
• Apply knowledge across financial statements, month-end close, reconciliations, GAAP/IFRS, audit, tax and controls.
