Job summary

Connections Health Solutions, a leading behavioral health crisis-care provider, seeks a Senior Accountant to support monthly closes, grant reporting, and government funding interactions. This remote role supports nationwide operations and requires solid accounting experience in healthcare finance.

Responsibilities include variance analysis, billing oversight, AR management, and collaboration with partners to ensure accurate revenue recognition and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required.
• 3 years of related work experience is required.
• Healthcare finance experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review monthly financial results compared to budget and provide variance analytics.
• Manage the monthly market billing process, ensuring timely and accurate invoices.
• Monitor and maintain accounts receivable balances, including collection activities and aging analysis.
• Prepare, maintain, and support grant-related financial reporting and documentation.
• Serve as the primary accounting liaison for government agencies and funding partners.
• Collaborate with operational and government partner teams to ensure accurate billing and revenue recognition.
• Coordinate with Revenue Cycle Department to ensure monthly revenue is accounted for correctly.
• Reconcile assigned balance sheet reconciliations and conduct month-end close analysis.
• Assist with annual financial statement audits and maintain data integrity.
• Maintain confidentiality of all employee and financial information.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

3 years of related work experience

Computer skills including Excel, Word, and general ledger systems
