Job summary

PartsBase Inc. is seeking an experienced Accountant to own a broad range of general ledger, reconciliation, and financial reporting responsibilities. The role covers AR and billing operations, payroll and commissions, and month-end close, with autonomy to improve processes within a global finance team.

You will work remotely, collaborating across departments to ensure accurate financial results and timely close cycles while supporting audits and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience with general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP and full accounting cycle.
• Experience managing accounts receivable, invoicing, and payment processing.
• Experience with payroll processing and/or sales commissions preferred.
• Able to prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.
• Experience supporting audits and maintaining audit-ready documentation.
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivots, formulas).
• Familiarity with ERP software such as QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite; payroll platforms a plus.

Responsibilities

• General Ledger & Month-End Close: post entries, accruals, prepaids, reclassifications.
• Own ledger accounts, perform reconciliations, analyze variances.
• Support month-end and year-end close; assist with schedules and checklists.
• Prepare financial statements and management reporting packs.
• Oversee AR billing and payments across channels; ensure accuracy per contracts.
• Manage invoice cycles; review credit memos and adjustments.
• Process payroll and commissions; reconcile to GL each period.
• Support audits with schedules and documentation; maintain records.
• Daily cash and bank reconciliations; maintain audit-ready docs.
