Job summary

Carrington Mortgage Holdings is seeking a Senior Accountant for the Title Division to perform general accounting functions under GAAP, including ledger, balance sheet, and income statement reconciliations, and preparation of data for journal entries. This role supports the Vylla and LLD divisions with monthly close activities, audits, and internal controls.

Remote work from home is offered, with preference for PST hours.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Accounting or Finance or equivalent practical experience.
• Three to five years of general accounting/finance experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Oracle ERP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily bank reconciliations and record bank activities in the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage wire transfers and ensure proper recording of cash activity.
• Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts for month-end close in line with US GAAP.
• Assist with quarterly and year-end audits and maintain internal controls.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues.
