Job summary

UpCounting seeks a skilled accountant to own full-cycle bookkeeping for a portfolio of eCommerce clients. You will handle reconciliations, AP, AR, journal entries, and month-end close, ensuring accurate numbers and timely delivery while coordinating with North American clients.

This role requires 3+ years in accounting, experience with QuickBooks Online or Xero, and comfort speaking with international clients.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in accounting in an international multi-client environment
• Full cycle bookkeeping: reconciliations, A/P, A/R, journal entries, accruals and prepaids
• Experience owning a month-end close
• QuickBooks Online or Xero experience
• Experience working with US/Canada/UK/Australia clients
• English strong enough to speak with North American clients

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle bookkeeping across a portfolio of client files
• Run month-end and year-end close: schedules and balance sheet tie-outs
• Record payroll entries, prepaids and accruals accurately
• Manage sales tax filings, remittances and compliance across jurisdictions
• Review your own work before it goes up
• Identify automation opportunities and suggest workflow improvements
