Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Senior Account Manager for Commercial Lines to oversee an assigned book, ensure retention, and support new business. You will coordinate day-to-day admin and client service activities, resolve complex issues, and act as a subject matter expert for the team.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in account management or 7+ years in insurance, with active licensing and strong analytical, communication, and organizational abilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of account management experience
• Experience in insurance brokerage and client needs
• Active licensing; CIC designation preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking, and organization

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise
• Direct daily activities and workflow of the account management team
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis
• Manage policy expirations and renewals
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals
• Monitor reports and take action on delinquent accounts, collecting balances
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms with data accuracy
• Monitor activity and suspense to ensure timely completion
• Maintain frequent, transparent communication with the account team regarding workload status
• Deliver excellent service and proactively respond to service requests
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures
• Seek and adopt best practices to improve performance
• Demonstrate integrity and leadership
