Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Senior Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book, retain clients, and support new business. You will coordinate daily administrative tasks, handle policy administration, billing, and renewals while acting as a subject matter expert for the account management team.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in account management (7+ in insurance), active licensing (CIC preferred), and strong analytical, communication, and service skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of account management experience or 7+ years in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active licensing required; CIC or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high degree of technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities and workflow of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor reports and take action on delinquent accounts, collecting outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
• Monitor and maintain activity/suspense to ensure timely completion.
• Communicate workload status with the team regarding workload and issues.
• Deliver excellent service and respond quickly to requests.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Seek continuous improvement to enhance performance.
