61st Street Service Corporation, a prominent healthcare support provider, seeks a Self-Pay Collections Specialist II to support ColumbiaDoctors. This role is primarily remote for residents of the Tri-State area, with occasional visits to the office for training or meetings.

The specialist will follow up on Self Pay balances, contact patients via auto-dialer, arrange payments, verify information, and document outcomes in the billing system while maintaining professional customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in physician billing or third-party payer.
• Strong customer service orientation and professional communication.
• Understanding of contracts, insurance benefits, exclusions and billing requirements.
• Ability to navigate payer adjudication and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on Self Pay balances and collect payments.
• Answer inbound calls and establish payment arrangements.
• Document terms in the billing system and update patient information.
• Handle inquiries, disputes, and escalate as needed.
• Obtain insurance and demographic information; update patient accounts.
