Network Cabling Services (NCS) is seeking an experienced Security Systems Design Estimator to design, estimate, and develop integrated electronic security solutions for commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, and critical infrastructure projects in the Houston area.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience designing and estimating commercial electronic security systems.
• Strong experience with Access Control Systems, CCTV / VMS.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Commercial security systems experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Design integrated electronic security systems for commercial and industrial facilities, including Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion Detection.
• Review RFPs, drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to develop complete system designs and project scopes.
• Conduct site surveys and field assessments to evaluate existing conditions and identify project requirements.
• Prepare accurate estimates, material takeoffs, labor calculations, and BOMs for design-build and bid/spec projects.
• Coordinate with Sales, Project Managers, Operations, and customers throughout the design and estimating process.

Network Cabling Services (NCS) is seeking an experienced Security Systems Design Estimator to join our growing team. This role is responsible for designing, estimating, and developing integrated electronic security solutions for commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, and critical infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience designing Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion Detection Systems, preparing accurate estimates, and collaborating with sales, operations, project managers, and customers to deliver innovative, code-compliant, and cost-effective security solutions.

*Commercial security systems experience is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Design integrated electronic security systems for commercial and industrial facilities, including:
• Access Control Systems
• Review RFPs, construction drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to develop complete system designs and project scopes.
• Conduct site surveys and field assessments to evaluate existing conditions and identify project requirements.
• Prepare accurate estimates, material takeoffs, labor calculations, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for design-build and bid/spec projects.
• Coordinate with Sales, Project Managers, Operations, and customers throughout the design and estimating process.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience designing and estimating commercial electronic security systems.
• Strong experience with:
• Access Control Systems
• CCTV / Video Management Systems (VMS)
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in manufacturing facilities, healthcare, higher education, industrial environments, data centers, airports, or large commercial campuses.
• Experience with enterprise-level security platforms and system integrations.
