Job summary

6sense is seeking a Security Operations professional to protect and respond to security events leveraging automation and advanced threat management. You will work cross-functionally to detect, investigate, and remediate incidents, while developing tooling to scale the Security Team’s effectiveness.

The role requires experience in SecOps, adversary emulation, and knowledge of leading frameworks, with opportunities to mentor engineers and influence product security postures across the organization.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of automation development experience.
• 5+ years in a Security Operations or similar team.
• 2+ years conducting adversary emulation exercises.
• Experience with security tools and cloud environments (e.g., Vulnerability Scanners, SIEM, SOAR, AWS).
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• CISSP, CISM, or GIAC certifications are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Execute on milestones for end-to-end SecOps & Threat initiatives per Security roadmap.
• Identify and respond to complex security incidents, including system compromise, intrusion attempts, and/or DoS by conducting monitoring, vulnerability assessments, and log analysis.
• Engage vendors, Infrastructure, IT, GRC, Cloud, and App Security teams to validate alerts and perform root cause analysis.
• Research emerging threats and push mitigating controls to products and services.
• Build security tools and automation to enable the Security Team to operate at speed and scale.
• Lead threat exercises based on current security trends and publications.
• Mentor engineers to drive security controls and risk remediation.
• Communicate risks and mitigations across audiences with varying sensitivity.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of 6sense’s product, environment, and architecture.
• Participate in on-call rotation and incident escalation.
