6sense is seeking a Staff Security Engineer for SecOps & Threats to lead end-to-end security operations, threat detection, and incident response across our environment. The role focuses on automation, forensics, and proactive threat hunting in a remote-capable setting.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in security operations, 2+ years automating security tasks, and experience with cloud security tooling (AWS, SIEM, SOAR). Bachelor's degree required; CISSP/CISM/GIAC desirable.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Security Operations or a similar team.
• 3+ years developing automation.
• 2+ years conducting adversary emulation exercises.
• Experience with security tools and cloud environments (e.g., Vulnerability Scanners, SIEM, SOAR, AWS).
• Familiarity with industry frameworks and standards (MITRE ATT&CK, ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, NIST).
• Bachelor's degree in a related field; certifications like CISSP/CISM/GIAC are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Execute on milestones for end-to-end SecOps & Threat initiatives per the Security roadmap.
• Identify and respond to complex security incidents via monitoring, assessments, and log analysis.
• Engage cross-functional teams to validate alerts, ensure incident resolution, and perform root cause analysis.
• Research emerging threats and push mitigating controls to products and services.
• Perform security forensics as needed.
• Build security tooling and automation to scale the Security Team.
