Sezzle in the United States is seeking a motivated Security Infrastructure Engineer Intern to gain hands-on experience securing cloud infrastructure, applications, and developer workflows. Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed degree in Cybersecurity or related field.
• Basic understanding of computer systems, networking, and security fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Linux and command-line tools.
• Interest in cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and infrastructure systems.
• Basic knowledge of common security concepts (e.g., vulnerabilities, authentication, OWASP Top 10).
• Exposure to programming or scripting (Python, Go, or Bash).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Eagerness to learn and take ownership of tasks.
• Demonstrated experience working with Claude or equivalent large language model tools is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with vulnerability management activities, including reviewing scan results and validating findings.
• Support triage of security findings from internal tools and external sources.
• Help analyze logs and alerts from SIEM systems to identify potential security issues.
• Participate in basic security incident investigations and documentation.
• Assist in implementing and improving security controls across AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Support efforts to improve detection capabilities and monitoring coverage.
• Learn and contribute to securing CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure workflows.
• Work with engineering teams to understand and help address security issues.
