Job summary

Johnson Controls Federal Systems seeks an experienced Electronic Security Systems Field Engineer for a remote role with travel across the United States. This position supports DoD and federal sites, with 75% travel and expenses covered by the company.

The role requires security clearances as needed, leadership of on-site projects, and collaboration with subcontractors and internal teams. Based in Huntsville, AL or DC area preferred, with a base salary of $85,000–$105,000 plus 10% bonus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of field experience in commercial/industrial Electronic Security.
• Hands-on design, commissioning or programming of Electronic Security Systems.
• Ability to present technical material to non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Windows.
• Ability to obtain government security clearance if required.

Responsibilities

• Act as on-site project leader for Electronic Security projects.
• Coordinate system programming, installation and commissioning tasks.
• Develop project plans and manage resources for timely completion.
• Provide direction to subcontractors and technicians as needed.
• Complete installation and verification of hardware and software.
• Produce as-built and commissioning documentation for projects.
• Mentor and coach junior team members on security systems.
