Job summary

Connected Logistics is seeking a Mid-Level Security Engineer (Security Automation Engineer) to support the VA COSE program. The role is remote with occasional on-site support and focuses on PII incident response, data loss prevention, and implementing security controls.

The successful candidate will perform end-to-end incident response for PII incidents, utilize DLP tools, coordinate with stakeholders and mission partners, and ensure compliance with information security and privacy requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems or an Associate's degree with 2 years of related experience.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant cybersecurity experience.
• Experience with PII incident response and data breach management.
• Experience using Data Loss Prevention (DLP) technologies.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity incident response processes and controls.
• Ability to coordinate remediation activities with stakeholders and mission partners.
• Knowledge of DoD information security and privacy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end incident response for PII incidents and data breaches, including identification, containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Utilize DLP tools to identify PII at rest or in transit.
• Quarantine improperly stored PII and support remediation activities.
• Assess security risks and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure security controls and safeguards protect PII.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and mission partners on remediation activities.
• Validate effectiveness of remedial actions.
• Ensure compliance with information security and privacy policies.
• Support automation of security monitoring and incident response processes.
