Job summary

IES Holdings in Tempe, AZ seeks a Solutions Engineer to design low-voltage solutions with the sales team, support pre-construction deliverables, and assist in customer facing services.

You will analyze customer requirements, provide technical and engineering information, and help prepare estimates by turning designs into proposals. A security systems background and Design Build experience are required.

Qualifications

• Must have at least a High School diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• RCDD certification preferred.
• Structured cabling industry experience preferred.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in telecommunications or related field.
• Experience in customer interface and liaison between customer and company.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project).
• Meet company driving standards and manage multiple tasks/projects.

Responsibilities

• Design low-voltage solutions with the sales team.
• Identify customer service requirements and provide technical information.
• Analyze cost-benefit and propose changes in equipment or processes.
• Liaise between sales, project management and operations on turnover.
• Prepare reports from site visits for pre-construction and sales teams.
• Attend training on technical requirements per guidelines.
• Attend and complete job turnover meetings detailing project scope.
• Handle other responsibilities as assigned.
