Job summary
Fortra is seeking a skilled professional to join the OI team focused on automation and data improvements. You will develop Python scripts to analyze data and automate processes, meeting with stakeholders to define requirements and provide estimates.
You will produce metrics showing automation impact and provide on-call support for applications. Ideal candidates have 4–5 years of Python scripting, SQL data analysis, and cybersecurity domain knowledge.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or 2-3 years of software development experience.
- 4-5 years of data analysis experience leveraging SQL.
- Understanding of joins, indexes, query optimization and relational table design.
- 4-5 years of scripting experience in Python.
- Experience with Flask, creating libraries, Python packaging and CICD.
- 3-4 years of experience in the Cybersecurity industry.
- Understanding of DNS, Proxies, Whois, SSL.
Responsibilities
- Develop scripts and applications in Python
- Analyze data and processes to identify automation opportunities
- Meet with stakeholders to define requirements and provide time estimates
- Develop quick proof of concepts to vet ideas
- Produce metrics showing automation impact
- Monitor applications and troubleshoot errors
- On-call support as needed for applications
