Job summary

Ntiva, Inc. is seeking an Security Analyst I to be the first line of defense against cyber threats. You will monitor alerts, investigate incidents, secure accounts, and log data for analysis. The role is remote with occasional travel and a rotating on-call schedule.

The position requires 1–2 years in cybersecurity, 3–5 years IT log/endpoint work, and hands-on use of EDR/SIEM tools. ConnectWise Manage experience is essential.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in Cybersecurity.
• 3-5 years in an IT role including log analysis, account/access management, or endpoint troubleshooting.
• Full-time role with no outside employment.
• CySA+, GCIH, or SC-200 certifications (or actively pursuing).
• Hands-on exposure to at least one EDR/SIEM platform (e.g., SentinelOne, CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel).
• Direct hands-on experience using ConnectWise Manage for ticket documentation with audit-ready notes.
• Familiarity with SIEM log correlation, Windows Event Viewer (Security IDs 4624/4625/4648), or ticketing-based alert queue.
• Strong attention to detail and proactive accuracy.
• Customer service orientation and willingness to adapt to evolving tech trends.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security dashboards, queues, and alerts to detect threats.
• Conduct initial investigations and rapid response actions to contain incidents.
• Escalate complex cases to Level 2 with clear information.
• Manage routine security tool changes and testing adjustments.
• Collaborate with security team and engineers on responses.
• Communicate with end-users/clients to gather details and guide incident resolution.
• Coordinate with other teams to share necessary information.
• Document investigations, actions, and resolutions in ConnectWise.
• Provide professional security-related support to clients.
