Job summary

VC3, Inc. is seeking an IT Security Analyst I for the Evening Shift to join our Technology Operations team in a remote capacity.

The role supports clients across the United States, focusing on security event monitoring and incident response with timely triage to meet service levels. You will triage alerts, investigate with End Detection and Response tools, and communicate findings to clients and management.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in information security or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CCNA, C|EH, SSCP, or equivalent.
• Experience with SIEM platforms, firewall management, and EDR platforms.
• At least one year of experience with EDR, ESGs, vulnerability management and content filtering.
• Available for 4pm–1am EST shift.

Responsibilities

• Translate Cyber Security concepts into non-technical terms for clients to understand business implications.
• Manage security event monitoring and incident response ticket queues to meet SLAs.
• Clearly convey indicators of compromise, isolation, and remediation steps.
• Analyze and interpret logs to diagnose faults and spot abnormal behavior.
• Use End Detection and Response tools to investigate alerts and build timelines of potential compromise.
• Investigate and escalate per established procedures.
• Develop and deliver reports to clients, teammates, and management.
• Provide input to improve internal processes and procedures.
• Participate in threat hunting and special projects as required.
• Role is scheduled for 4pm–1am EST.
