Job summary

EMC Insurance is seeking a Securities Analyst to independently analyze creditworthiness, build financial models, and prepare research reports. You will support back-office operations, assist with statutory deposits, and help improve processes within the Investment Team.

The role offers flexibility with remote work a few days per week and opportunities for professional growth through tuition reimbursement and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
• 3 years with Bloomberg or equivalent; investment research; monitoring equity, security, debt, and/or capital markets.
• 2 years performing financial modeling.

Responsibilities

• Analyze creditworthiness of existing holdings and identify new investment opportunities.
• Build and maintain financial models and prepare research reports.
• Support back-office operations including cash transaction reporting and trade settlement.
• Collaborate with Insurance operations on Statutory Deposit requests and process improvements.
• Lead economic update process and develop economic models; assess indicators and market trends.
• Assist Investment Team with quarterly and ad-hoc reporting and meeting materials.
