Minnesota Connections Academy seeks a Secondary Reading Interventionist to support K-12 students at risk of failing courses. You may work from home or at our St.

Paul office and will analyze data, meet with students, parents, and teachers, and coordinate credit recovery options. You will develop individualized intervention strategies, assist with transition programs for 9th graders, and train parents of at-risk students.

Responsibilities

• Identify at risk students based on grades and test scores below proficiency
• Develop and implement individual intervention strategies to keep students enrolled and progressing
• Work with students to develop an achievement plan aligned with academic goals
• Assist students and teachers to develop a transition program for 9th graders to adapt to high school rigor
• Provide training to parents of at-risk students
• Identify and connect area social agencies for at-risk youth and families
• Other duties as assigned
