Job summary

Parker Hannifin's Southeast US team in Atlanta, GA is seeking an Applications Engineer to drive field applications, system design and customer product development. You will provide sales, marketing and design direction to support growth initiatives and manage select key accounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferred degree in engineering.
• 5 - 7 years sales, manufacturing or engineering experience, preferably within a manufacturing division.
• Technical competence in Fluid Power (Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Electromechanical Systems)
• Remote work, must be located in or near Atlanta, GA
• Must be able to travel overnight 40% to 60% of time; or as required

Responsibilities

• Manage large OEM accounts and support pricing/quality reports.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis.
• Support field sales and distributors as required to maintain Division’s premier customer service position.
• Adapt current and new products to customer needs and satisfaction.
• Provide technical product expertise to close on final sale.
• Assist design and manufacturing in new or revised product development.
• Provide timely reports summarizing findings on a product, project, or territory.
• Train customers and distributors on division products as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of competitive products and market activity.
• Keep management aware of distribution changes; participate in strategy development.
• Develop and implement product pricing, life cycle and forecasting plans.
• Develop strategic sales plans for existing and adjacent markets.
• Investigate market needs for innovative products and communicate to Engineering.
• Maintain high degree of customer service, throughput, and Lean participation.
