Pearson is seeking remote scorers for evaluating responses of Georgia teacher candidates. You will apply scoring standards, engage in consensus scoring with peers, and maintain confidentiality. A bachelor’s degree and teaching certification in the subject area are required, with 2+ years in a public school role or college faculty experience.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or higher, and teaching certification in the subject area.
• 2+ years’ recent experience in the service role in a public school in the subject area.
• Or college/university faculty member preparing candidates for the subject; not Georgia-based.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions by Georgia teacher candidates.
• Internalize scoring standards, participate in discussions, and engage with other scorers in consensus scoring activities
• Recognize and discuss bias types (e.g., implicit bias, cultural bias, leniency bias, central tendency bias, halo effect) and effect strategies to reduce personal biases in scoring
• Meet quality and productivity requirements established for the scoring program, including passing a qualifying test before scoring
