Job summary

Pearson is seeking Associate, Scoring Services to score teacher licensure responses remotely for the Malta, NY office. The role evaluates candidate responses, follows scoring standards, and participates in consensus scoring with other scorers.

Training precedes scoring, with scoring sessions Mon-Fri, 8:30 am–4:30 pm, approximately every 8 weeks. The position requires active teaching credentials or recent content-area teaching experience, basic computer skills, and eligibility to work in the

• Basic computer skills (keyboard, mouse)
• Ability to sit for extended periods
• Ability to maintain a confidential work environment

Responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions by New York teacher candidates
• Internalize scoring standards and discuss with other scorers
• Discuss bias types and strategies to reduce bias in scoring
• Meet quality and productivity requirements including passing a qualifying test
