Job summary

Parallel is seeking an experienced School Social Worker for a district assignment in Georgia, starting November 2, 2026. This 1.0 FTE, 37.5 hours/week role is fully remote and supports elementary through high school with Tier 2/3 counseling for at‑risk students.

You will collaborate with IEP teams, conduct psycho‑educational evaluations as needed, and provide parental guidance while using Panorama for progress tracking. Fluency in additional languages is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active Clinical Social Worker license (LCSW).
• Valid Georgia state certification or license for K-12 School Social Work (GA SSW).
• Minimum of one year of full-time, on-site school social work experience (internships excluded).
• Demonstrated proficiency in all National SSW Practice Model domains.
• Expertise in MTSS frameworks, counseling, and psycho-educational evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect social work services to students and families, focusing on Tier 2 and Tier 3 counseling for mild/moderate and at‑risk populations.
• Collaborate with school/IEP teams to develop treatment plans and IEPs with measurable social work goals.
• Offer staff insights into cultural, familial, and societal factors affecting student well‑being and performance.
• Lead mental health and behavioral interventions, track progress via Panorama, and perform psycho‑educational evaluations as needed.
• Support families and staff with parental guidance and staff training on behavior management.
