Job summary

Parallel is seeking an experienced School Social Worker to deliver essential, tailored social work services to students with learning differences in a remote setting. You will collaborate with families and school teams to implement IEPs and MTSS-based plans that promote student well-being and success.

Qualified candidates hold an active LCSW, a K-12 license, and have MTSS and counseling experience. Remote work is supported; fluency in additional languages is a plus, and availability during

Qualifications

• Active Clinical Social Worker license (LCSW).
• Valid state license or certificate for K-12 school practice (requirements vary by state).
• Minimum of one year of full-time, on-site school social work experience (internships excluded).
• Demonstrated proficiency in all National SSW Practice Model domains.
• Expertise in MTSS frameworks, counseling, and psycho-educational evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect social work services to children and families addressing psychosocial needs.
• Collaborate with school/IEP teams to develop treatment plans with measurable social work goals.
• Offer staff insights into cultural, familial, and societal factors affecting student well-being.
• Lead mental health and behavioral interventions and evaluations.
• Support families and school staff with parental guidance and staff training.
