Job summary

Parallel is seeking an experienced School Social Worker to support elementary through high school students in a Georgia district. This full-time, 1.0 FTE (37.5 hours/week) position is remote and aligned with EST hours starting November 2, 2026.

The role emphasizes Tier 2 and Tier 3 counseling for mild/moderate and at-risk populations, collaboration on IEPs, and psycho-educational evaluations as caseload grows.

Qualifications

• Valid Georgia state certification or license for K-12 School Social Work (GA SSW).
• Minimum of one year of full-time, on-site school social work experience (internships excluded).
• Demonstrated proficiency in all National SSW Practice Model domains.
• Expertise in MTSS frameworks, counseling, and psycho-educational evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect social work services to elementary, middle, and high school students and families with a focus on Tier 2 and Tier 3 counseling for mild/moderate and at-risk populations.
• Collaborate with school/IEP teams to develop tailored treatment plans and IEP goals with measurable social work objectives.
• Offer staff insights into cultural, familial, and societal factors influencing student behavior, academics, and well-being.
• Lead mental health and behavioral interventions, design positive behavioral strategies, track progress via Panorama, and perform psycho-educational evaluations as caseload grows.
• Support families and school staff with parental guidance and training on behavior management techniques and direct support.
