Chef Ann Foundation seeks a New York State School Food Operations Specialist to provide expert technical support to school districts, with a focus on scratch cooking and NSLP compliance. This remote role covers districts across New York State, traveling as needed and reporting to the Senior Specialist.

You will guide districts across five pillars: food, finance, facilities, HR, and marketing, delivering virtual trainings, assessments, and on-site assistance to improve program outcomes.

Qualifications

• Four years of college or equivalent with a relevant major (Culinary, Nutrition, Food Service).
• Minimum of four years of experience in school food service, prefer scratch-cook operations.
• Minimum of two years of culinary experience or equivalent training.
• Ability to travel 50%–75% locally and nationally; valid driver's license.

Responsabilités

• Provide technical and operational guidance to districts on USDA regulations, procurement, and school food operations.
• Deliver on-site and virtual support for NYPathway programs and CAF initiatives.
• Review district content and provide actionable feedback and technical assistance.
• Lead virtual learning sessions and participate in webinars and trainings.
• Coordinate schedules, travel, and district outreach with the School Food Operations team.
• Represent CAF in trade channels, conferences, and collaborations.
• Stay current on NSLP regulations and trends, adapting programming accordingly.
