Job summary

The Chef Ann Foundation seeks a Specialist of Operations to support districts in expanding scratch-cooked school meals. This full-time, remote role works with CAF teams to deliver technical guidance, training, and program implementation across five operational areas.

You will travel 30–50% and collaborate with funders and districts to achieve program milestones while promoting high-quality, sustainable practices nationwide.

Qualifications

• Four years of college or equivalent to qualify for a Bachelor’s Degree with a relevant major: Culinary, Nutrition, Food Service.
• Minimum of four years experience in school food service, preferably operating a scratch-cook operation.
• Requires ability to travel locally and nationally 30%-50%.
• Minimum of two years of culinary experience, or an equivalent combination of formal culinary training and professional kitchen experience.
• Food Manager Certificate must be acquired within 90 days of initial employment.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and G Suite platforms; Salesforce, Zoom, and Adobe preferred.
• Ability to work virtually within the contiguous United States.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical expertise and program support to help districts strengthen food service operations.
• Provides onsite and virtual technical assistance to school districts, supporting scratch-cooked meal programs.
• Assists in developing district assessment reports and coordinating training sessions.
• Represents CAF in trade-based channels, conferences, and collaboratives.
• Collaborates with the Operations team to implement initiatives and ensure milestones are met.
