Job summary

Stride, Inc., a Stride K12 private school, K12 Private Academy, is seeking a full-time School Counselor for a virtual role open to residents across all 50 states and Washington, D.C. The counselor will support students’ academic success, college/career readiness, and data-driven intervention planning.

Responsibilities include counseling, classroom instruction, transcript review, and collaboration with staff to create graduation plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of counseling/advisement experience required.
• School Counselor License preferred.
• Ability to clear required background check.

Responsibilities

• Help all students plan for postsecondary options (education, military, workforce).
• Focus on college and career readiness for students and families.
• Meet quarterly with caseload to review graduation plans and options.
• Deliver classroom instruction based on student success standards.
• Review transcripts and other academic documentation for new/returning students.
• Develop four-year graduation plans and audit schedules for candidacy.
